Fail More, Fund More
It’s overstated. It’s certainly a cliche. But that’s because it’s true. You should fail more.
Do you and your team have a failure goal? You should.
If you don’t hear no from your donors often enough, you’re leaving funding on the table.
Really. If everyone is saying yes, you are leaving money on the table.
You might be asking for too little.
You might not be asking enough people to support your cause.
You might only be asking the most obvious supporters, the easiest.
Your campaign and organization deserve better. You deserve greater success. So ask yourself and your team, how many times to you need to fail to succeed? Give your team a failure goal. Celebrate and discuss the failures. Make sure your team knows it’s not only okay to fail- it’s expected.
